Your website’s content not only has to be authoritative and engaging, but it also has to be presented in such a fashion that search engines notice it. This means making your content SEO-friendly—which is a skill unto itself.
I am here today to give you a list of things that you should consider to make or break the way search engines interpret your site’s content:
Use words, not pictures-search engines look only at the text on a web page, not a page’s images, videos, Flash animations, and the like. If you have important content to present, present it in the body text on your page.
Include phrases and keywords-make sure you work in those keywords and phrases that your potential visitors will be searching for. If a keyword does not exist on a page, most search engines won’t return that page as part of the relevant search results.
Repeat phrases and keywords naturally-you need to repeat this keywords in a naturally manner. It can’t look as if you are keyword stuffing; the words have to flow organically in your text. If you are looking for a guide, try to use keywords twice in every 400 words of copy.
Make the most vital stuff more well-known-the most important information on your web page should be placed in more prominent positions on the page; the more prominent the information, the more likely seachbots will find it. This may mean placing the information in one of the first two or three paragraphs on your page; it may also mean placing key concepts in your page’s heading and subheadings.
Copy- it’s not a bad idea to modularize the content on your web page. Instead of presenting a long train-of through block of text, break up that block into short chunks, each chunk introduced by its own prominent heading or subheading. Make it easy for readers and search engines to find the information they want on your page.
Length is important: Search engines- reward those sites that have more words per page. On average, today’s top search engines seem to have a preference for pages with content in the 1,000 word range. But that is just an average.

Google Universal Search Results
I am currently enrolled with the University of San Francisco online Master Internet certificate program to obtain my internet marketing and search engine certification. To make the story short my professor Joe Laratro was giving a lecture about how to maximize multimedia campaigns to get better campaign results with Google Universal Search. He explained how Google continues to growth its search engine universal search results within the last year. Professor Joe Laratro stated the following:"SERPs is not just about HTML anymore"! it is all about Personalized search taking into account previous search patters and showing the correct search results based on those patterns. By doing this we will get better search engine results pages, and better results Google give us the better is the chance for us as a consumer to use these search engine results more effectively. I found the lecture very interesting and I found the below article about Google Universal Results that I strongly recommend you to read if you have a chance.
Google Ties Google Maps to Images in Universal Search Results
Google continues to ratchet up its search engine enhancements this week. This may be business as usual for the search engine giant, but search improvements take on greater importance thanks to the emergence of Microsoft's Bing search engine. To wit, Google today, July 10, added images complement some of the Google Map results it returns. Google has offered maps as part of its Universal Search results for two years, but adding pictures of the places in the maps adds more color to an increasingly broad search palette Google is creating. Microsoft's new Bing search engine
I spent some time going through Bing - the new Microsoft search engine. The interface is definitely a nice change from Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Additionaly, the returns provide greater clarity to the end user. I need to dig further into the SERPs themselves to better understand "what's new" with Bing (actually calling it Bling).Share with Family and Friends
As we all know the logo is the most important thing for a business-the log is the face of your business on marketing materials. To guarantee that it is presented clearly and without unnecessary alteration, ask and answer the following questions in your style guide: - When your logo appears in black ink, what type of color backgrounds can be used?

- What is the smallest size that can be used for your logo?
- When your logo appears in color, what link color or colors may be used? The person who designed your logo should specify the ink numbers. Do not allow variations from this color in any professionally produced piece.
Do not forget to indicate in your guidelines that the logo must be reproduced from original artwork or a camera ready reproduction. It may not be reproduced forma photocopy or previously printed piece, because the quality will be inferior. Good luck trying to creating your logo for your business!
